14 Ideas to Alleviate yourself from being in a Funk

We are infinite beings having a human experience. It's natural to fall into a funk. Many of the times these funks are put into our path to teach us something. A time for us to look inside and heal what surfaced up for us. We don't even realize it sometimes.
Before I became aware and would be in a funk, I would let myself get sucked into the darkness and let the emotions consume the shit out of me. I would forget that I can snap out of it. Mind you, it's okay to feel the emotions that you feel. I just invite to not stay in those emotions and let it colonize the rest of your life. Because you know....like attracts like and we ain't trynna live funky for the rest of our lives.
It takes practice. It takes becoming aware. It takes consistently reminding yourself that you are a vibrational being that has the choice to shift your vibration. In this blog post, I decided to share to you some ideas for you to help alleviate yourself from being in a funk. This is also a perfect reference list for me to look back to whenever I have my moments/days.
Here are 14 ideas to alleviate yourself from being in a funk:
1. Drink water - Replenishing your body with water helps set the foundation for whatever you are intending to shift. Dehydration makes you feel tired and fatigue. Drinking water helps increase your energy levels. I recommend drinking plenty of water, flush out toxins within, and proceed with whatever you're going to do to shift your vibration.
2. Express gratitude - Gratitude is a high vibrational frequency. I learned for me that when I'm feeling funky, I remind myself of all that I have now and express thanks. I'll either take a moment to myself, take a few deep breaths and begin vocally, mentally, or writing out all that I am thankful for. I spend about 10-15 minutes and really tune into the present and the feelings of what I am grateful for. This was one of the methods I started doing after my dad died not even knowing at the time about gratitude being a high vibrational frequency. It just kind of happened naturally. And it works wonders.
3. Retreat into nature - Our brothers and sisters from the cosmos have gifted our Earth with nature to heal us. Nature is literally the place to re calibrate your soul's being! NO JOKE. NO WOO WOO SHIT. It legit carries a high frequency space for you to heal and nourish your soul. Release all your stresses, trials and tribulations and allow nature to penetrate into your being. Absorb nature's healing properties.
4. Listen to music - Sing your heart out! It' a great way to relieve stress. My go-to songs to help shift my mood are:

5. Re-connecting with light - Besides being human, we are all energetic, light beings. I find that most of the time when I am in a funk, I am disconnected with light/source energy/the Universe. I take a moment to close my eyes, take a few deep breaths, rub my palms together (connecting you to your heart) and visualize bringing your energy up. Let white pure source light/energy to pour into your entire being from your crown chakra all the way down through your toes and into Mama Earth into her central core, let the energy bounce back up to your heart. Now you are connected as above and so below. Gradually expand the light in your heart bigger than your home to bigger than your country to bigger than Earth. You are nowconnected. Let light fill your soul up and connect back to your true essence, which is that of light.
6. Smudge yoself' + Smudge yo home - Set the intention to cleanse all negative & stagnant energy! You can use a sage bundle, palo santo, or if you are allergic to smoke, a Smudge Spray. My sis and I were inspired to create a smudge spray since you can't just light up a smudge bundle at the restaurant, lol. So we thought, hey, why not create a smudge spray that's just as effective infused with healing crystals.
7. Bump up some binaural beats - There are so many health benefits with binaural beats. It helps with reprogramming your subconscious and raising your vibration. There are a variety of binaural beats that can help you focus, meditate, attract miracles/abundance, raise your frequency, heal your heart, activate and rearrange your DNA and more! Binaural beats emit these wave lengths that affect your brainwaves. The one's I listen to is 432 hz frequencies and 528 hz frequencies and I choose whichever resonates with me the most. I suggest doing more research about it and experiencing it for yourself.
8. Reiki healing - It is a healing modality used to channel Universal life energy throughout your being. It helps balance your soul and clear out any stress that you hold onto. Some reiki healers are also intuitive/psychic and are able to assist you on a deeper level. If you're on a budget, you can get distant reiki healing from ReikiChristy. You can get reiki energy sent to you for public speaking, an important event, an exam, sicknesses, your businesses, to your pets, and more! I also recommend going to a healer if you really want to get some major, deep soul healing. Shira is amazing!
9. Exercise - Move your body! Sometimes our emotions lay stagnant in our physical bodies. That's why it's so important to exercise so that you can wiggle out any stuck emotions and experience that feeling of euphoria. You know that feeling when you you work out so hard, you can feel the burn and once you finish those reps, you experience that sense of YES! Your body releases a chemical called endorphins which are happy hormones! Exercise is so great to release happy hormones.
10. Tea time - My all-time de-stresser tea would be Yogi' Kava Stress Relief tea. They combine a blend of herbs that are great for easing tension and promoting relaxation.
11. CBD - This is an element found in cannabis. It is a non-psychoactive, which means it does not give you that high feeling from the THC compound. It's more fore medicinal uses and is packed with tons of other health benefits such as anti-inflammatory properties, combats anxiety/depression, anti-seizure properties, and tons of other healing properties. I feel that CBD promotes a deep sense of well-being for me.
12. Medicate in cannabis - Some people may disagree with me. But this is something that works for me. I find that cannabis takes off the edge and really keeps me in the present moment. I feel that sometimes the ego be too uptight and in this energy of resistance. So I learned for me that when I medicate in cannabis, it takes away the resistance and dissipates the tension and relaxes me.
13. Declutter - Whether its your room, car, house, email inbox, text messages, old beliefs, etc. It is important to let go of all that's no longer serving you. This will then make room for abundance to show up in your life. You are literally creating a space and you are the creator of what you'd like to invite in. There's really an energetic difference after a decluttering session. It feels so much more refreshing, light, and freeing. I totes recommend it. It's one of my favorite things to do as I find it meditative as well. Pro Tip: Smudge your room afterwards to clear the space of any negative, stagnant, residual energies. It'll also disinfect bacteria in the air and purify the space.
14. Kundalini yoga - Sat Nam! ( It means true identity). There's such a large array of health and spiritual benefits. It nourishes you mind, body, and spirit. I always feel so balanced, surrendered, and vibrating super duper high. For me, it hands down will literally shift your vibration from zero to hundred. It never fails to uplift me in such transformative ways.
When you are evolving to your higher self, the road seems lonely. But you're simply shedding energies that no longer match the frequency of your destiny
