Feeding your soul is important too

Whatever it is that stirs your soul, listen to that. Everything else is just noise.

Your soul wants to be fed! Why is it that we pay so much attention to our physical body when it is hungry, but we forget to feed our spirit?
I had an ah-ha* moment some weeks ago and came to the realization that my spirit was feeling a bit malnourished. No, I wasn't dying. But something was nudging me to get my ass outside. It stuns me every time I bring myself out the door. It's like this wind of awareness surrounded my presence and I can feel a familiar sense of calmness radiating from the inside out. Every time.
And then I started to think about all the times I've felt that familiar sense of bliss. I thought about the time I just laid out at the beach with my soul-lover, took a nap at a leafy garden, volunteered at the Consciousness Expo... the list goes on. The common denominator in each event that took place in my life were all activities aligned to what I love. You feel me? Like the stuff that increases my vibration so much more higher. These were events that had a positive, inspiring, and soul-feeding impact in my life. And I remember thinking like, hold up...
Why not do more things that make me happy?
It was one of those moments that just clicked, you know? Like that feeling when it just syncs and starts to make sense. From there on, I declared that I was going to ensure myself to incorporate soul-feeding activities into my life. This is what I like to call: Soul Feeding Adventures.
It's where we unplug from human responsibilities and just BE. Be immersed in beauty. Be in the present. I feel like it not only feeds our spirits but somehow energetically cleanses the space for more abundance to come through. Why not do more things that feeds me deeply, you know?
You NEED to create Balance
We need balance in our lives. We can't just keep working, working working. Work so strenuously because that's the only way to make you successful. Work so hard because everyone around you is doing it. Work so hard because mom & dad taught you that's what life's about. Work so hard that it becomes so normalized in your non-working days. Work so hard until you forget about yourself. Work so hard that you experience something called: BURN-OUT, which you unintentionally wilted the spirit. These are all limiting beliefs that we have picked up from society, parents, friends, media, etc. It is sad that the concept of being busy has been so glorified that when we are not doing anything, it is frowned upon and you subconsciously feel guilty for doing nothing.
This is an outdated and non-beneficial belief to keep in our minds. At least for me. This was something I had to learn the hard way. It was all for a higher good and I am so grateful for the lesson of contrast that I had went through. I am now a liberated soul doing things that feeds my spirit deeply. It was all because of the simple shift of being conscious of what makes me feel good. And doing lots of it. Having fun has many benefits for your internal health, or spirit.
