10 Morning Rituals for an Elevated Day & Transformational Life

Your mornings can typically give you the clue of how your rest of the day is going to turn out. Good day or bad day, which one is it going to be? I've probably started my mornings in so many different ways that I can tell you what has worked and what hasn't worked. It just recently dawned to me that mornings are what ususally sets me up for the day. I was so over waking up and going straight to work. I made no time for myself whatsoever. It always led to running out of energy by the time it hit 10 or 11am lol (Wow, Khristyne). So mornings are the time that I dedicated for myself---me time. It gives me time to get situated for the day in the most energetic wave. Each elevated day meant fulfilling days that lead me steps closer to reaching my dreams and living in abundance.
I'm going to share to you 10 morning rituals that I perform every day so that I can have an elevated day that leads me to having a transformational life.

1. Eat Breakfast
It sounds so simple. Yet, it can be the hardest to achieve in the mornings. I used to neglect breakfast 98.5% of the time for years. I was basically skipping breakfast as a lifestyle. SMH* I couldn't function at my fullest potential. It wasn't until I had enough of this devitalized way of living that I became conscious of my energy. I realized I always had a productive day when I ate breakfast. And duhh, it all became clear to me. Food gives you energy to do things like read a book or walk downstairs. So it only makes sense to fuel your body to give you the energy to do what you gotta do for the day. It's like a car. You can't last running on E. Otherwise, you get stuck on the road. And we must overcome the bumps in the road in order to get to where we want to be at. YOU FEELS ME?!
Advice: Down yourself 2-3 cups of water with lemon once you wake up. It wakes up your organs after hours of sleeping and not eating. Plus, it jump starts your energy, metabolism and helps aid in weightloss. I implemeted drinking my water with lemon and because of this small shift I added in my every day life, I lost a lot of weight. Ayeee!

2. Set Intentions
This is a super, duper powerful way to create your reality. We do it without even noticing we're doing it. When we go to a restaurant, we are setting the intentions to go eat. When we lay down in bed, we are intending to go to sleep. However, how often do we get clear in what we want happening in our lives besides completing errands or going to work? Intentions help you bring clarity into what you want manifesting into your life. I like to write out my intentions in my journal (I verbally say them out during meditation or before I leave the house when I'm unable to write them out). Not only do I write out my action list for the day, but I also set my intentions in what I want manifesting into my life. Setting intentions are all about planting the seeds of your desires, allow the universe to orchestrate your truest desires and in divine timing, your intentions will come in fruition.
As the words from the classic Vedic declares,
“You are what your deepest desire is. As your desire is, so is your intention. As your intention is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.”

3. Clearing your energy & your space
I discovered what clearing your energy was when I took my level 1 reiki practitioner class. They emphasized how important it is to keep your energy and your space clean just as it is important to brush your teeth and take a shower every day. Everything in life is energy. People are energy. Trees are energy. Your toothbrush is energy. Whether we are driving down the freeway, grocery shopping, at school or at work, we are surrounded by energy. Therefore, it is so easy for other people's energy to latch on to our energies. And I ain't trynna accumulate residual energy that can be contaminated with bad vibes and other lower energies. LOL. No offense. So I clear my energy in the morning (because I believe that I have a long ass adventure with other spirits in my dreams so I feel like I must cleanse my spirit lol) and right before I head to bed.
Here are 2 ways that I clear my energy and my space:
White Sage
It is a sacred plant used to purify, cleanse any stagnant, bad or lower energies. I love the way it stimulates my senses and gives me an instant uplift. I use it to cleanse my aura and any energies that so happen to attach to me as I go about my day. There's so much cool things about white sage (link to buy sage is here) which I will leave for another blog post.
Palo Santo
It is a piece of wood that comes from a sacred tree. This is another plant that stimulates my senses and triggers a profound sense of clearing and inspiration. I usually use palo santo (link to buy palo santo here) to hotbox the inside of my car just because it look like I'm lighting up a blunt when I'm clearing my car lol. This is probably my favorite method of clearing. Again, I will get more into detail in another blog post.

4. Angel Card Reading [Optional]
It's one of my favorite things to do. It only takes about 2 minutes to do. I connect with source energy (I visualize white, bright light filling my entire being connected with the universe) and draw a card that I'm gravitated too. It gives me loving and gentle guidance for the day from my loving angel guides. It brightens my day and my soul. And I'm all about doing things good for the soul, so why not heighten my vitality?

5. Meditate
Sometimes we just gotta silence our mind! Our minds can be running at full speed and with so much noise that it can really pollute our awareness of what is NOW. We forget how important it is to just be present because our minds ( due to the media and other influences) have been conditioned to think in an egotistic matter. (Book Recommendation: The Power of Now). We feed our ego so much that we forget to feed our souls.
Meditate
It really gives us a time to unplug from our thoughts and go deep within. To tell you the truth, it took me a minute to finally get the hang of meditation just because my mind was programmed to run thoughts 25/8. There's so many ways to go about meditating and really pausing the mind away from chatter.
Here is a few:
- Guided meditation
- Hypnosis meditation (super cool btw, I'll probably get into that in another blog)
- Meditating with certain binaural beats (I'll probably get into that in another blog too)
- Meditating with certain healing crystals
- Kundalini yoga (This one has actually helped me tremendously),
- Gardening, taking a walk, etc
To be honest there's so no wrong way of meditating just as long as you've reached the point of your thoughts being on mute. I've read so many books and articles about successful people and what they implemented as a major part of their lifestyles, and they all result with one common denominator: Meditating. Always tied back to meditating.
"The answers you seek never come when the mind is busy, they come when the mind is still."

6. Mantras & Affirmations
The universe responds to what you put out into the universe. Whether they're questions, your intentions, emotions, your vibration/frequency/energy, anything. What you signal out to the universe, responds back to you. You can't say, "I'm broke af" repetitively and almost so natural that it is imbedded into your daily habits. Otherwise, the universe is gonna be like, " Okay, insert name here, let me bring you more things associated to broke into your life. It is so important to make sure you are affirming what you want manifesting in your life.
TIP: Be conscious of what kind of words you are putting out into the universe You don't want to accidentally manifest something you don't want because you are subconsciously saying negative things about yourself or about others. You are a reflection of your choice of words.
Affirmations
I just began doing this not too long ago. There is so many awesome benefits from practicing affirmations like manifestation and keeping the positivity flowing in your life, etc etc. I'm currently reading the book The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder and it includes true stories of people using affirmations to shift and attract prosperity into their lives. I've always heard about affirmations before and would use it here and there, but because of this book, I've incorporated it in my daily life.
Mantras
Mantras are a powerful and spiritual tool that aids in reprograming a negative subconscious. There is a modern and ancient way of incorporating mantras in your life. The one I'm currently doing that I researched about is in Sanskrit. It is an ancient language from India.The power of mantra includes a word or series of words that are chanted repetitively 108 times. Each word evokes a powerful, sacred and vibrational frequency that energetically digs deep into your soul and subconscious, shifting negative thoughts into a positive and abundant way of life. These sacred vibrational sounds can work on specific things you'd like to transform or bring into your life like protection, loving yourself, abundance & prosperity, peace within and more. I totally encourage you to research more about this sacred art or you can wait for my blog post about it after I complete my 40-day mantra transformation. :)

7. Read a Book
Keep that knowledge flowing baby! Our minds are limitless. The kinds of books I like to indulge in are books that inspire me and help me improve my well-being. I'm always open to new ways of applying what can potentially be very good for my soul. Why watch TMZ gossip and get my energy sucked into these lower energies, that have nothing to do with my life, when I can read books that uplift my spirits and keep my energy flowing in beautiful waves of prosperity?

8. Inspiration Space + Journaling
Inspiration is the energy that helps you live your life as passionately as possible. It's the gateway to living as closely to your life purpose. It is creating what you were born to create. It is the energy that paves the way to your life's path. The reason why I create a time for inspiration is so that I can do more of what makes my life fulfilling and meaningful. Inspiration is a high vibrational frequency and helps keep me motivated and in the flow of reaching my dreams or feeding my soul.
Though there are many things that inspire me, here are 2 easy ways I get my inspo flowing in the mornings:
Articles/Blogs
I like to read articles and blogs that are correlated to my goals in life. For example, if there is a blog about marketing strategies that has upped a business, I will read it because I would love to have some tips on how to increase sales in my businesses. Or, if there is a blog post about 5 simple ways to increase my vibration, YES, I will give my attention to this blog because I am all about self-development. If it is about a successful ass person's story on how they became a millionaire, yes, most definitely I'll see my eyes to it. I love to enhance my inspiration energy to my energetic field. If it is beneficial to me, I will put my attention to it. Whatever knowledge that will inspire me to take action is worthy of my attention.
Youtube
And I'm not talking about cats taking a shit in the toilet ( Although that is rather impressive lol ). I'm talking about watching videos of other individuals that you look up to. Individuals, people, seminars, whatever it is out there that is similar to your goals and who you aspire to be. You know... The channels that inspire you to become a better version of you whether it comes from their tips, suggestions, ideas, or even their energy. What is it that you want to be in life? it is that, that can help keep your inspiration tank flowing!

Journal
I like to free flow aka journal outdoors. Just because I like to be amongst nature --- smelling the trees, listening to birds sing, and watch butterflies magically appear and surround me in all its glory. It's something about nature that harnesses my inspo tank and enhances its flow. When you get to connect with mother earth and soak up its beauty, your soul is screaming thank you for letting me breathe! And once I allow myself to just be, I activate my inspiration tank and let my ideas ensue. This is where I have my Idea's Journal with me and write down anything and everything that happens to flow through me. This is what you call being receptive to your higher self. Collect your ideas. And hopefully, make your ideas come into life!

9. Space for gratitude
Gratitude is the secret to having a happy life. I always make the effort to create a space of gratitude. I'm not sure how I came about it but ever since my dad passed away, I would pray to God at night and express my gratitude for all that was in my life. Yes, I may have lost him, my mentor, my role model, my hero of a dad, but I still sought the beauty from my pain. And I found that being grateful really helped my get through my struggles.
Gratitude enables me to be fully conscious of what I presently have in my life. And here is another cool thing: Gratitude generates a space for more abundant thangs to enter your lovely life.
Tip: when you're feeling down, BE GRATEFUL. State 5 things you are grateful for. And I mean...truly get into the energy of what you are grateful for; really feel it from the heart. You will feel a lot better.
"Gratitude will shift you to a higher frequency, and you will attract much better things."

10. Exercise
What can you do to get your body active? I've learned that when you exercise, you increase your serotonin and dopamine levels aka your happy hormones. These are the hormones that enhance your mood and pave the way of having a exuberant day. Happy mood? Don't mind if I do. If you don't already know, I like to partake in whatever is great for my well-being. You can take a walk at the park, hit the gym, morning sex, do some kundalini yoga, whatever it is to get your heart pumping. Makes all the difference in your mood.
